I offer counselling to adults and teens (16+), in person in Calgary or virtually across Alberta. Sessions are 50 minutes and are designed around what you actually need.
How do I know if I need counselling?
Most people don't arrive in therapy because something dramatic happened. They arrive because something quiet has been wearing them down for a while. If any of these sound familiar, counselling might help.
Start by Asking Yourself:
Are bad days outnumbering good ones?
Do I still feel like myself?
Has day-to-day life started feeling harder than it should?
Are my worries louder, more frequent, or less logical than they used to be?
Have I lost interest in things I used to enjoy?
Do I spend a lot of time feeling like I’m falling short of everyone around me?
Then Notice if you’re Experiencing:
Sadness, tearfulness, irritability, or feeling on edge
Excessive worry or racing thoughts
Low motivation of loss of interest
Poor sleep, nightmares, or hypervigilance
Fatigue or exhaustion
Difficulty concentrating, making decisions, or remembering things
Restlessness
If you said yes to any of the above, counselling can likely help.
Healthy coping strategies means stronger relationships, clearer thinking and a more honest relationship with your emotions.
When people first come to therapy, it often feels like the distress they're in is permanent — like this is just how things are now. It isn't. Counselling helps you see what's actually happening, what you have control over, and what to do with that control.
My approach is client-centred and non-judgmental: I don't have a script you're meant to follow. We build the work around your life.
Modalities I Draw From:

Blending approaches based on what fits you, not what fits a manual
